COP30: Niger Govt to Showcase Green Economy Initiatives in Brazil

The Niger State Government will participate at the ongoing United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, to present its subnational climate action programs and green economy initiatives.

The delegation is led by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, and includes Dr. Abubakar Sadeeq Musa, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change; Alhaji Isah Mohammed, Director of Climate Change at the ministry; Mr. Obi Ugochukwu, National Consultant to Niger State on Green Economy Initiative; and Engr.

Niger State will highlight its Green Economy Blueprint, which outlines programs in five areas: climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy expansion, carbon market activation, green industrialization, and youth inclusion.

Dr. Habila Daniel Galadima, Director-General of the Niger State Agency for Green Initiatives (NG-SAGI).
