‘Pogba ‘ll remain Manchester United player if…’

Paul Pogba has hinted he is ready to complete a Manchester United U-turn and remain with the club – as long as he can make one position his own.

The Frenchman’s future has rarely been out of the headlines ever since he admitted that a move to Real Madrid would be “a dream”.

His agent, Mino Raiola, subsequently added more fuel to the fire when he suggested his client was unhappy at Old Trafford.

“I can say it’s over for Pogba at Manchester United,” Raiola said ahead of their critical Champions League tie with RB Leipzig last year.

“Paul is unhappy with Man Utd as he is no longer able to express himself in the way that he would like and as he is expected to. Paul needs a new team, a change of air.”

The Italian has since backtracked on those comments, with Pogba enjoying one of his most consistent runs of form for the club.

Raiola recently claimed the 28-year-old could remain with United, as long as they were able to compete at the top of the European game.
