Hundreds of youths took to the streets at Kofar Mata area of Kano metropolis on Monday morning to protest the death of a 17- year old, identified as Saufullahi, who allegedly breathed his last in police custody.
Sources told VerityNews that the late youngster was picked up by the police at his Kofar Mata residence two days ago, admitted on bail, but was subsequently rearrested only for the security agents to return his corpse this morning.
Armed police officers have been redeployed to the troubled spot to quell the spontaneous uprising.
