Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has come under heavy criticism over his Soundtrack on Hollywood’s film, The Book of Clarence.
A day back, it was reported that Adekunle Gold alongside Yemi Alade is set to take the global stage with their debut on The Book of Clarence. The two music stars alongside international artists like Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Kid Cudi, Jorja Smith, Shabba Ranks, and more will feature on the highly anticipated movie with a soundtrack.
The movie which is directed by Jeymes Samuel, will feature new music from Jay Z, who is also the producer of the movie.
Sharing the good news on his Instagram page, Adekunle Gold wrote: “It’s great to see such incredible representation in a first-of-its-kind film. #TheBookofClarence, a film by @Jeymes features new music from myself, @JAYZ @liltunechi @yemialade, and more. Exclusively in movie theaters January 12.”
The movie has however received tons of backlash from netizens calling it blasphemous and dragging the singer.

Adekunle Gold isn’t the only celebrity who has received backlash from the Christian community.
Weeks back, socialite, Mike Nwogu better known as Pretty Mike had elicited anger from Christians with his mockery of the savior, Jesus Christ at a wedding ceremony.
The socialite had entered the wedding venue with a lady dressed like Jesus carrying a cross along with other females, cladded in a bikini who played the role of the Pharisees and Sadducees who were beating Jesus.
Sharing the disturbing video on his Instagram page, he avowed that the world would have been better if Jesus was a woman.
However, Pretty Mike’s recent display didn’t sit well with Christians.
Celebrity stylist Toyin Lawani had also come under heavy criticism over her outfit at the movie premiere of Toyin Abraham’s film “The Prophetess”.
As usual, Toyin Lawani stunned in a dramatic catholic rope that many Nigerians frowned at as portraying Christianity in the bad limelight.
Many social media users dragged the actress for blasphemy Christianity and dared her to try such with a Muslim outfit as she would not go scot-free.
