For the second time in a week, the National Grid has collapsed again.
The collapsed national grid which is managed by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is serving electricity across the country.
According to a daily power information, only Delta Power plant was active on the National Grid with 41.00MW as of 12:00 noon on Tuesday day while Afam had 1.7MW.
The information revealed that as at 1:00 a.m. same day, power generation had peaked at 3,594.60 megawatts (MW) from the last collapse experienced barely five days ago.
Recall the grid collapsed last Thursday and the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, blamed a fire outbreak for it.
However, the cause of latest collapse is yet to be disclosed.
Power generation dropped from the peak of 3,594.60 MW to a meagre 42.7 MW as of the time of filing this report.
