The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lifted the 2-year visa ban imposed on Nigerian travellers effective immediately.
Flight schedules into and out of Nigeria by Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines have also resumed.
The decision was reached on Monday after President Bola Tinubu met with UAE President, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.
According to a statement by Ajuri Ngelale shortly after the meeting, the new arrangements between Nigeria and the UAE do not involve any immediate payment by the Nigerian government.
