The Plateau State, National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has nullified the election of Senator Napoleon Bali of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and declared Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Bako Lalong, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as valid winner of the Plateau South Senatorial District.
The Tribunal in a unanimous judgement said the PDP having no structure lacked the right to have taken part in the election.
The Plateau State Governorship Election Tribunal sitting at Jos High Court, has reserved date for judgement into the suit filled by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Nentawe Yiwatda against Governor Caleb Mutfwang of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The petitioners, in a suit no: EPT/PL/Gov/03/2023 between Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe and APC are challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) 1st Respondent, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, 2nd Respondent, and his political party, PDP, 3rd Respondent.
