The Taraba state police command on Sunday confirmed the kidnap of four Igbo businessman on Saturday night at Magami area of Jalingo.
The command public relations officer, DSP David Misal who confirmed the abduction of the Igbo men through a telephone interview said the command would not rest until they are released.
He said the command has mobilized its men to go in search of the victims.
“Although, we don’t disclose our strategies, we are already searching to ensure they released”, he said.
According to him, kidnapping is a national issue that need all hand to work together to address it.
He maintained that the command would live no stone unturned to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice.
Narrating the incident, a wife to one of the victims, Chibugo Nweze said her husband was sleeping when the abductors arrived in their house.
She explained that the kidnappers shot sporadically into the air to scare neighbours, broke their door and made away with her husband.
He informed that there has been no contact with the kidnappers to know their demand or whereabouts.
