The Jigawa state government has approved the sum of 740,602,90 for the payment of 382 retirees in the state.
The Executive Secretary, Jigawa State Local Government Contributory Pension Scheme Board, Alhaji Hashimu Ahmad Fagam made the disclosure while addressing newsmen in Dutse.
He described the approval as timely.
Hashimu added that the beneficiaries were workers from state, local‎ government council and local education authorities across the 27 local government in the state.
Giving the details of the approval, he said that a total sum of N332.892 million is being disbursed to 164 state government retirees, N91.637m to 72 local government council retirees while the remaining N316 million was paid to 146 local education authority retired workers.
According to him that “a total of 382 retirees had benefited from the payment of third quarter of 2019 including the payment of retirement and death benefit, death pension balance and return of eight percent contribution”.
Hashim therefore commended Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for supporting the scheme always in good times.
