Despite recent tragic incidences of deaths occassioned by increased rainfall, the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) has called on various states to be on alert with increasing trend of flooding across the country.
NIHSA Director General, Engr. Clement Nze, who gave the indication in Abuja on Wednesday said more floods were expected with the alarming rate of rainfall the country is experiencing presently.
In a space of one week, flood have reportedly killed four people in Abuja and Bauchi, including students at a federal university in Bauchi.
