Bayero University Kano has emerged as Nigeria’s best performing university in international outlook, according to the 2026 Times higher education World University Rankings.
The rankings published on the official website of Times Higher Education, place Bayero University in the 1001-1200 global band out of 2,191 universities assessed across 115 countries within Nigeria, the institution ranked third overall.
Despite its overall global placement, the University distinguished itself by recording the highest score in international outlook among Nigerian universities. The indicator measure global partnerships, international student enrolment and cross-border research collaborations.
The performance underscores Bayero University’s growing global engagement and expanding academic partnerships, reinforcing its position as a leading institution in Nigeria’s higher education landscape.
