Armed bandits have killed two people in Katsina State despite a signed peace accord.
The bandits killed Ibrahim Ahmad, the son of the district head of Tahoki, in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
In the same night, the armed bandits were also reported to have killed Malam Yahuza Bawa, popularly known as Dankane, in Musawa Local Government Area of the state.
Recall that both local governments where the killings occurred are currently under negotiation with armed bandits.
Residents of the two local governments lamented that despite the peace accord reached with the armed bandits, killings and kidnappings have continued unabated, raising concerns over the credibility and effectiveness of the negotiation process.
