About two thousand memorizers of the Holy Qur’an have graduated from eleven local government areas in Zazzau Emirate.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony which held at the Emir’s Palace in Zaria, Governor Senator Uba Sani of the state re-affirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the religious programs in the state.
The Governor who spoke through the Special Adviser on Inter-Religion Affairs, Sheik Tahir Umar Tahir, described Islamic knowledge as one of the pillars that children will acquire for proper upbringing.
Uba Sani commended the initiators of the programme and urged them not to relent in promoting goodness in Kaduna State.
Earlier, Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, expressed satisfaction with the efforts of memorizers of the Holy Qur-an and called on people to support the emirate towards ensuring the success of the programme.
Sarkin Malaman Zazzau, Alhaji Sunusi Umar Abdullahi, and Garkuwan Malaman Zazzau, Alhaji Tukur Jabba, said the essence of the programme was to bring unity and understanding among various groups of Imams and their followers.
They noted that both Izala and Dariqa sects have come together without any rancour to yield positive results.
The Emir Presented the graduants from eleven local government areas under Zazzau Emirate with their certificates and other graduation materials and gifts.
