President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged the Nigerian Army to maintain its Apolitical stance and strictly adhere to constitutional boundaries.

The president made the call at the opening ceremony of the ongoing Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference in Lagos.

He reminded the military that its primary responsibility remains the protection of the nation and its citizens.

President Tinubu, who was represented at the event by Vice President Kashim Shettima, also charged the armed forces to consolidate on the gains already achieved, while charting a clear and purposeful path that will further strengthen Nigeria’s national security architecture.
