Ex-Kogi Governor, Idris Wada defects to APC

Former governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada is set to decamp to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Verity News learnt that the defection is in “furtherance of his desire to effectively contribute to the unity, progress and prosperity of the state and also integrate into national politics.”

He therefore enjoined his supporters “to give him maximum support and cooperation in this moment because the benefits of this political realignment is much more positive than the negative”, former commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr Abubakar Sadiq Ainoko explained.

Captain Wada left office in January 2016 after he was defeated by the fledgling APC in November 2015.

For 11 years, he held forth in the PDP, hoping for a holistic resolution of the party’s numerous crisis until now.
