With few hours to the CAF Awards 2022 , the duo of Monday Gift and Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum have been left out of CAF’s final top three shortlist in each of the category they were nominated for with Asisat Oshoala the only Nigerian who made the final cut.

The FC Barcelona female forward is on course for a record fifth player of the year award but faces stiff competition from Cameroonian Ajara Nchout and Zambian Grance Chanda who is making her first ever entrance in the awards category.

Top 3 shortlisted nominees are:

Player of the Year (Women)
Ajara Nchout Njoya (Cameroon & Internazionale Milano
Asisat Oshoala (Nigeria & Barcelona)
Grace Chanda (Zambia & BIIK Kazygurt).

The Gala night and awards ceremony will take place in Rabat, Morocco on 21 July 2022.
