Officials of the Anambra State Government Task Force have been captured on camera manhandling Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanemere aka Prophet Odumeje.
The prophet – widely known by different names including Indaboski, Liquid Metal, and the Virus – is the president and founder of Mountain of Fire and Holyghost Intervention Ministry, Onitsha, Anambra State.
In a trending video on social media, an official of the Safety and Emergency Crack Team can be seen slapping and physically attacking the Onitsha-based preacher.
VerityNews gathered that Indaboski’s church – located at 88 Bida Road, Fegge, Onitsha – had been marked for demolition.
According to popular Nigerian on-air-personality of Cool FM, N6oflife, “The Anambra state Govt marked the Church located in Fegge Onitsha as an Illegal structure”.
N6oflife said the church was built over a huge canal “blocking free flow of the River Nigeria”.
He said the church also stood the risk of being washed away during any serious rainfall.
“There are over 200 buildings marked for demolition, not just Odumeje’s.
“I’m sorry for his Loss but he always knew his location was Illegal yet kept expanding,” the broadcaster added.
It’s unclear how the interaction between Prophet Odumeje and the taskforce team broke down.
It appears they had wanted to arrest him, as a voice can be heard saying he should be put inside the vehicle.
“Stop,” the man of God said. “Why are you touching me?”
Another voice can be heard saying in Igbo, “it’s enough,” implying they should let go of the prophet.
