BREAKING:. Court annuls APC Ekiti governorship primary election two days to polls

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has nullified Ekiti State APC governorship primary two days to the election that was expected to produce a new governor.

The governorship poll is scheduled for Saturday, 18th June, 2022.

Capital Post reports that governor Kayode Fayemi’s choice of candidate, Mr Biodun Oyebamji emerged winner of the APC governorship primary.

The Court reasoned that there were irregularities in the APC primary election that can’t stand the test of the law.

The court cited irregularities in the conduct of the primaries conducted to nominate Oyebamiji. More details…
