Speaking further, he said ” the long standing displeasure in the region is that of neglect and non-inclusiveness, but the zoning will definitely address the perceived injustice”.

On his part, the group’s co-convener, Muhammad A Kabir, says, “equity and fairness are some ingredients needed to move any organization or institution forward.

According to him, ,” equitable distribution of wealth regardless of faith or status is a method that gives sense of belonging and inclusion. Also, for a zone which continue to provided the compass for development, they need to be carried along, all through. Senator George Akume remains the man to beat in the race. He represents not only the fourth largest ethnic group in the country, ie the Tiv, but the entire minority and Christian faith, which is necessary given the complex composition and cultural and in the country”.

The group has pledged to continue canvassing for votes and drum up support for Senator Akume in the forthcoming convention and urged him not to be cowed in giving up his ambition.
They stated further that, Senator Akume idoes not carry with him political and corruption baggage. He hasn’t been tried for corruption, and operates an all inclusive government while in office. On the claim that His Excellency Senator George Akume is boastful, which was what cost the party Benue State in 2019, they stated it was his detractors at work

Governor Ortom, a serial failure who couldn’t pay salaries took advantage of the unfortunate Farmer-herder crisis to drum up support. He politicized and made political fortunes by playing on the intelligence of the good people of Benue whom he whimsically called drunkards several times.

They urged delegates to the forthcoming convention to rally round their principal by ensuring he gets massive votes to make him Chairman, who without doubt, will reposition the party and help put the country on the path of economic growth, security and prosperity.
