Funtua Consultative Forum gets new officials

The newly elected officials of Funtua Consultative Forum (FCF) have been sworn-in. The event took place at the Secretariat of Funtua Local Government Area, where the oath of office taken by the new officials marked an official change of baton from Engineer Shamsu Sani Babajo-led 5th Council to the new Doctor Zaharaddeen Idris-led 6th Council of the Forum.
The Chairperson of the Forum’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Baraka Abubakar, who was represented by the Secretary of the Board, Malam Isah Abdu, commended the ex officials for their resilience and steadfastness through thick and thin in the course of running the Forum. She advised the new officials to work closely with the out-gone ones to achieve more things and to move the Forum to greater heights.

The BoT Chairperson also wished the new officials success in the onerous task ahead.
On his part, the District Head of Funtua, Alhaji Sambo Idris Sambo, represented by Magajin Makera, Alhaji Musa Nuhu, charged the new officials to uphold transparency and not to fall victims of kleptomania and opportunism which pervaded all sectors of the society.

He further harped on more dedication to providing purposeful leadership anchored on the principles, values and ideals of the Forum.
In his acceptance speech shortly after taking oath of office administered by Barrister Isah Haruna, the new Chairman of the Forum, Dr. Zaharaddeen Idris, appealed for continued cooperation from all members of the Forum, in order to keep the Forum’s flag flying. He sought God’s guidance and wisdom during his stewardship.
