
No fewer that 104 Islamic State in West Africa Provision (ISWAP) fighters have surrendered to the troops of 25 Task Force Brigade Damboa, Borno state on Saturday, the army headquarters said.

According to the statement released by the Army Headquarters on Monday, the 104 surrendered members comprise of 22 males, 27 females and 55 children.

The army headquarters which disclosed this via Twitter said:

“ISWAP fighters and their families numbering 104 comprising 22 males, 27 females and 55 children surrendered to troops of 25 Task Force Brigade Damboa, Borno State on Saturday 5 February 2022”.
