Hon, Yakubu Musa(Yakson) has defeated the Edo State Government governor over his illegal removal as the Executive Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council.
The Edo State High Court in Benin City, delivered its Judgement on Monday, 27th September, 2021 and held that the State Governor and his allies have no such power to remove a duly elected Local Government Council Chairman as he did, and therefore acted in error and constitutional breaches.
Chief Musa was however reinstated to his office with all his entitlements.
The Judge also referred to the Supreme Court judgement on same issue in the past to arrive at his conclusion.
