Late FCT Customary Court of Appeal President, Justice Moses Bello for burial today


The late President of FCT Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Moses Bello will be buried today in Inoziomi, Adavi Local Government of Kogi State.

The internment will take place after a funeral mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, Okene. After the burial, entertainment of guests at Ado Ibrahim Civic Centre will start.

Yesterday the body of the late jurist left Abuja after series of activities that included a special Court Valedictory Session at the FCT High Court of Justice, Maitama.

Justice Bello died on September 2,2021 at the age of 67.


He died after a protracted battle with a kidney related disease. He retired from the customary court a few years ago.


In a press statement made available to the media by the burial Committee, the week -long programme which began with the court session continued Thursday, September 23 wich was dedicated to tributes, testimonies and mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Wuse 2, Christian wake-keep and social wake-keep with family and friends at his residence on No 47, Mambolo Street Wuse Zone 2 marking the end of Abuja activities.


By Friday, September 24, the body of the legal luminary and philanthropist left the National Hospital, Abuja, to Kogi Central Senatorial District (Ebira land) where a requiem mass at his country home residence, Inoziomi Adavi LGA took place. The service of song held at the same venue on the same day.


After today’s final burial rite, Sunday, September 26, a thanksgiving mass at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Okene will take place. This event will close the chapter on the amazing life of one of the most generous and notable leaders to have emerged from Ebira land. May his soul rest in peace.
