The Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer of Kano Electricity Distribution Company, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna on Thursday appealed to customers to protect all KEDCO installations in their communities.
KEDCO franchise cuts across, Kano, Jigawa, and Katsina states with notable and visible investment in cities, towns and rural communities.
A statement by Ibrahim Sani Shawai, Head Corporate Communications, quoted his principal, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, to have cautioned on meter bypass, while stressing frequent payment of electricity bills as well as embracing the free meter deployment and installation in their households.
The statement assured that its numerous customers would feel the impact of the company’s investment in terms of quality service delivery and reliable supply in not too distant future.
The Kano DisCo boss, revealed that some of the measures that have been planned to ensure customers enjoy good packages include, network rehabilitation, construction of new feeders, upgrade of feeders, DT metering, upgrade of substations and acquiring new transformers.
Dr Gwamna said KEDCO plans to make the investment in view of the need to ensure reliability in service delivery as well as give the needed platform to propell economic growth within the states under Kano franchise.
The KEDCO boss further disclosed that “before the end of this year or by early 2022, customers will start enjoying the results of these investments in our network and other improvements being proposed vis-a-vis power distribution in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states.”
