Access bank customers unable to withdraw cash with their ATM cards for over 3 days.

Many customers bearing Access bank ATM cards have been left frustrated as they could not access their bank accounts through ATM machine.

In Lugbe, a suburb in the FCT , many customers were visibly angry that the bank has not been able to fix a problem they claimed to have lingered for more than 3 days .

A male customer whose wife is hospitalized said he has been trying to withdraw money from the ATM to pay for his wife’s medical bills but without success.

He said he has tried all the ATM points in Lugbe but to no avail and his attempt to use POS for the transaction was equally unsuccessful. He is now desperate and looking for someone to lend him money.

Another customer, a female who came with her customer to fidelity bank’s ATM, along Tudun Wada, Lugbe to pay for some goods she had purchased said she did not go to the bank because she thought the problem should have been fixed by now, having tried the previous day without success.

Many others complained bitterly as they all seemed to have urgent and immediate needs for money.

One mason named Sunday, on Friday evening came with some of his labourers to an ATM spot behind Total filling station, FHA Lugbe to make withdrawal and settle his labourers but could not complete the transaction.

Unfortunately for him, it is the only account in which he has enough cash to pay the labourers. They were almost coming to blows before people intervened to plead with the labourers to accept what he was able to withdraw from his other bank account.

They now seem frustrated and stranded as efforts to effect cash transfer via the bank’s mobile App has been equally futile, they said.

They are now calling on the bank to immediately fix whatever the problem might be as soon as possible so that they can carry on with their lives.
