Suspected Bandits on Tuesday evening killed Zamfara State House of Assembly member Hon. G. Ahmed representing Shinkafi local government.
Veritynewsonline reports that Hon. Ahmed was shot dead along Sheme- Kankara road in Katsina state on his way to Kano for anotherl engagement.
Hon. Ahmed was also said to have left Gusau late evening on Tuesday shortly after the grand occasion for the defection of governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside all 26 Zamfara state members of the state assembly, three Senators representing Zamfara West, North and Central and six members of the house of representatives held in Gusau, the state capital.
Already the deceased body has been brought to his residence in Gusau on Wednesday morning for burial by 11:00am according to Islamic right.
