Kano Emirate Council on Saturday aannounced the death of Hajiya Maryam Ado Bayero, wife to late Ado Bayero and mother to two reigning emir of Kano and Bichi.
A statement that was made available to newsmen in explained that the late matriarch popularly known as Gwaggon Ilori passed away in Egypt.
The statement disclosed that late Hajiya Maryam died after a protracted illness. Details soon.
