Unknown gunmen on Monday stormed the family house of the Minister of Agriculture, Sabo Nanono at Tofai Village, Gabasawa Local in Kano State and abducted his younger brother.
Sabo Nanono is the current holder of the title of Sarkin Fulani of Tofai Village of Gabasawa local government.
Eyewitness said the gunmen in their large number stormed the house of the minister and abducted his brother Babawuro Tofai in the early hours of Monday.
At the time of filing this report, the reasons for the attack could not be ascertained; however, it’s suspected that the incident might be related to the increasing incidence of kidnappings for ransom that disturbs the northern part of Nigeria.
The spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, said the police are investigating the matter
