Kano was stunned over the weekend by reports that Bahijja Gombe, a 16 year old housemaid allegedly
committed suicide.
The incident which occurred at a housing estate located along Zoo road within the metropolis has already set tongues wagging as neighbours suspect foul play.
Bahijja, an indigene of Gombe State, was said to have allegedly killed herself by hanging without leaving any suicide note.
But, the Kano police Command has launched a full scale investigation into the controversial death of Gombe born teenager.
Kano Command Police Spokesman, DSP Haruna Abdullahi while confirming the incident to Reporters in Kano said Bahijja’s corpse has been deposited at the Murtala Muhammad Hospital.
DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said the CP Habu Sani has directed the CID to unravel the myth behind the death of the young lady.
