COVID-19: Ganduje orders contractors back to sites

overnor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state has ordered contractors back to site even as the world is yet to get a vaccine for the pandemic.

Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor said the “while global behaviour inches towards learning how to live with COVID-19 pandemic at both local and global levels, due to the absence of clear cut vaccine for the menace, Kano state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has ordered all contractors handling different government projects in the state to go back to sites.

“This was made known by the governor at the commencement of the State Executive Council meeting, Wednesday, disclosing that, life could pick up steadily for the continued development of the state”, the CPS said.

“It is pertinent to note that, people should understand lucidly that there will be life after COVID-19. As such we should not sit back and give less concern about that,” he said.

The governor said “people should begin to learn how to live with the present condition” while commending the state EXCO for their commendable services during this difficult time.

“Your individual and collective commitment during this period, shows that our philosophy of team work is strong and vibrant,” the governor said.
