Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has disclosed that doctors in the frontline of the fight against the spread of pandemic COVID:19 in the territory would be rewarded with the sum of N50,000 as hazard allowances.
Bello who stated this yesterday, during the FCT COVID-19 media briefing, also revealed that nurses, pharmacists and laboratory assistants are to receive N30,000 while cleaners and drivers get N20,000 each
The FCT Minister further commended the efforts of the health professionals in the fight and also reiterated the Administration’s commitment to the welfare of everyone at the forefront of the fight to put an end to the pandemic that has crippled many countries of the world.
He however assured that in the coming days, the FCT will record discharge of many patients of COVID-19 being managed in the FCT.
The Minister also warned that the violation of the lockdown order which is aimed at curbing the spread of the virus will leave the FCT Administration no choice than to adopt stricter measures to curb the spread of the virus in city.
He then assured the residents that the Administration has set up adequate measures including expanding and securing more facilities which will serve as Isolation Centres to manage patients in the FCT.
