Kano State-based Azman Air has announced the suspension of operations as a result of the ravaging Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
The suspension took effect from midnight of Friday, March 27.
A statement signed by the Chief Financial Officer, Muhammad Abdulmanuf, indicated that the decision to shut down was reached after due consultation with relevant authorities in the aviation industry.
Despite the huge economic impact, the operator of the Kano-based airline explained that the suspension would further help to curtail the needless spread of the deadly virus.
Other domestic operators, including Air Peace, Dana Air and Arik Air had suspended businesses.
