Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has gone into self-isolation after coming in contact with the son of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar who has been confirmed positive for coronavirus.
This was revealed on Monday by his Chief of Staff, Ladan Salihu, who informed that his boss is now in self-isolation after he had contact with Atiku’s son.
According to Salihu in a post on his official Twitter page; the governor and his entourage, had met with the Vice President’s son while on a flight from Lagos to Abuja on Sunday.
He further stated that they have all taken the coronavirus test and are expecting their results.
“Our Governor, Bala Mohammed is in self-isolation following contact with Atiku Abubakar’s son. Yes. We were on the same flight from Lagos to Abuja. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.
”The Governor and the rest of us have taken tests. The results will be negative insha Allah,” he added.
