The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, Monday, said all 16 senators who defected to other parties with former Senate president, Bukola Saraki in 2018 have been punished by Nigerians.
Oshiomhole who spoke inside state house in Abuja where he led a delegation to present, Bayelsa state governor-elect, David Lyon, to President Muhammadu Buhari, Oshiomhole said the 16 senators who defected were punished by their respective constituencies for being disloyal.
The APC national chairman noted that Senator Dino Melaye who was also among the defectors would soon have his turn going by the results of the election in Kogi west senatorial district.
The APC leader stated the party was thankful to God for making the governorship election in Bayelsa state successful, he also thanked the people for voting for the party’s candidate in the poll.
