The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), is rolling out red carpets to mark its 27th anniversary in regulating the broadcast industry in Nigeria.
In an invitation extended to stakeholders and experts in the broadcasting field as well as members of the public, the Director-General of the NBC, Mallam Is’haq Modibbo Kawu, said the anniversary would be held together with the commission’s 5th annual lecture.
According to the invitation, the lecture with the theme: “Contemporary Challenges of the Nigerian State: Need for Constructive Broadcasting,” would be delivered by Prof. Adam Ahmed, Director, Directorate, Nigerian Defence Academy.
Other categories of persons expected at the event include: government functionaries, members of the national assembly, the academia and heads of broadcast stations.
The occasion has Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture as chief host, while Alhaji Ikra Bilbis, Chairman, board, NBC as host.
The event is billed for next Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
