Despite not officially named in the list of invited players to the camp of the U17 team of Nigeria ahead of the World Youth Championship in Brazil, West Ham United goalkeeper Daniel Jinadu arrived the camp of the team two days back, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Jinadu was heavily tipped to make the list released by coach Manu Garba but his name was missing when the list was made public last week, however as exclusively reported by this portal Garba left the door open for him to train with the team.
Yesterday was his maiden training session with the team and he has already made an impression with the coaches who were first of all impressed with his height before he showed his reflexes during drills with the goalkeeper coach of the team.
One of the coaches of the team who spoke with Owngoalnigeria.com confirmed the technical crew were pleased with his performance but they will see more of him in the coming days before deciding on him.
The Nigeria U17 team are in dire need of a goalkeeper and Jinadu can force his way into the squad if he replicate same form that earned him a cal up to the U15 and later 17 team of England.
