Trump Threatens Iran: “Next Attack Will Be Far Worse” as US Warships Close In

US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, demanding a nuclear deal while signaling that a powerful US naval armada is moving swiftly toward the region—hinting at a potential strike even more devastating than last year’s attacks.

In a Truth Social post on Wednesday, Trump said the fleet, led by the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, is advancing “with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose.” He stressed the urgency, declaring: “Time is running out, it is truly of the essence! As I told Iran once before, MAKE A DEAL! They didn’t, and there was ‘Operation Midnight Hammer,’ a major destruction of Iran. The next attack will be far worse! Don’t make that happen again.”

Last June, the US struck three Iranian nuclear sites in a campaign coordinated with Israel to halt Tehran’s nuclear enrichment. While Trump claimed the attacks “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program, Tehran dismissed the assertion. The current whereabouts of Iran’s highly enriched uranium remain unknown.

Trump pressed for negotiations, urging Iran to “Come to the Table” for a “fair and equitable deal – NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS – one that is good for all parties.”

The show of force comes as US warships began arriving in the Middle East on Monday, after departing the Asia-Pacific region last week amid soaring US-Iran tensions. The buildup follows Iran’s crackdown on domestic protests, which authorities said had been hijacked by external forces.

Iran has vowed a “strong response” to any US action, raising fears of a major escalation in an already volatile region. Analysts warn that a military strike could further destabilize global security and complicate international efforts to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
