Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has condemned the killing of a woman and her six children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters of Kano metropolis, describing the act as barbaric and unacceptable.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, the governor expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and directed security agencies to immediately track down and arrest the perpetrators.
Governor Yusuf described the killing of the mother and her children as heartless, senseless and a grave assault on innocent lives. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family, the Dorayi Chiranchi community and the people of Kano State, praying for comfort and strength for those affected.
The attack occurred in Dorayi Chiranchi, Kumbotso Local Government Area, where unidentified assailants reportedly invaded the victims’ residence. The woman, identified as Fatima Abubakar, and her six children were brutally murdered.
The governor vowed that his administration would ensure the criminals do not escape justice, stressing that accountability must be upheld.
