President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year break and ahead of an official visit to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, in Lagos.
According to the statement, the president is scheduled to participate in the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit.
The visit follows an invitation by the president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The summit is expected to focus on linking ambition with action across innovation, finance, and human capital, while showcasing pathways for advancing sustainable growth and global cooperation in a rapidly evolving world.
