Kano Government Tasks LGA’s To Showcase Strength At National Agricultural Show

The Kano State Government Has Called On All 44 Local Government Areas To Actively Participate In The 2025 National Agricultural Show and Use the Platform to Showcase the State Agricultural Capacity To a National and Global Audience.
The call was made by the commissioner for local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mohammad Tajo Othman, during the opening ceremony of the 17th edition of the annual show held in Kano, Nasarawa State.
The commissioner, represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on local Government Matters, Bashir Abubakar Yaro, said it was time for renewed commitment to agriculture as a major employer of labour and a key driver of economic growth.
He noted that the Kano State Government has strengthened community level value chains across all LGA’s with deliberate efforts towards empowering women and youth.
According to him, agricultural development remains central to community prosperity stating that when the farmer thrives, the community prospers.
