How Wife Stabbed Husband to Death Three Days After Wedding in Katsina

A newlywed wife has allegedly stabbed her husband to death with a knife in Katsina State’s Jibia Local Government Area.

The tragedy struck just three days after their wedding.

According to reports, Abubakar Dan Gaske Mai Nasara, a resident of Jibia and well-known maize seller, was reportedly asleep at home on Sunday, November 23, 2025, when his wife, Aisha Muhammad, attacked him.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with residents describing Abubakar as humble, peaceful, and hardworking.

According to reports, the couple got married on Thursday, November 18, 2025.

Authorities have taken Aisha Muhammad into custody for further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.

Some sources suggest Aisha might have been battling “jinn-related problems” prior to the incident which could have influenced her actions.

Abubakar’s remains were buried yesterday at about 5 p.m. according to Islamic rites.
