
Yobe State Commissioner for Information, Abdullahi Bego, has lauded Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration for its commitment to enhancing service delivery through capacity-building initiatives. Speaking at a three-day workshop for Focal Persons in Kano, Bego praised the Governor’s leadership in fostering impactful governance and providing necessary support for effective public information management.
The workshop, themed “Towards Qualitative and Impactful Service Delivery for Sustainable Development,” aimed to equip Focal Persons with essential skills and resources to excel in their roles. Bego emphasized the critical role of Focal Persons as public information managers, highlighting their responsibility to build trust between their agencies and the public through transparent and accountable information management.
Drawing from his extensive experience as a government spokesperson, Bego shared practical insights into the challenges and best practices of public information management. He stressed the importance of responsible social media engagement, urging Focal Persons to exercise discretion and professionalism in their online interactions.
Governor Buni, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to providing necessary support and resources for effective governance and sustainable development. The Governor emphasized the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving the state’s development goals.
The workshop concluded with a comprehensive framework for implementing and monitoring service delivery tailored to Yobe State’s needs. Each participant received laptops and training materials to enhance their work. Bego expressed optimism that the initiative would empower Focal Persons to deliver tangible benefits to the people of Yobe State.
