Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district, has launched a landmark education initiative, commissioning the construction of modern schools in Osara for the Hausa/Fulani community and the comprehensive renovation of Abdul Azeez Atta Memorial College, Okene (AAAMCO).
This transformative project aims to elevate AAAMCO into a premier secondary school in Nigeria, featuring state-of-the-art facilities, including cutting-edge laboratories, a computer-based testing center, a performance amphitheater, a music studio, an art studio, staff residences, a sports complex, and fully equipped furniture and fixtures.
The senator’s vision also includes the integration of technology, converting AAAMCO into a smart school with electrified classrooms and personalized digital learning tools for each student. This pioneering effort will serve as a model for similar upgrades in schools across the senatorial district.
With a rich legacy dating back to 1927, AAAMCO has nurtured notable alumni, including Professor Jerry Gana, Professor Lai Mohammed, Col. Benjamin Adekunle and Alhaji Babagana Kingibe.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s bold initiative demonstrates her unwavering commitment to educational excellence and community development.
