A tragic incident has occurred in the peaceful town of Akungba, Akoko southwest local government area, where a wife, Omolara Oluwakemi, allegedly ended her husband’s life, Seidu Jamiu, with a pestle while he was asleep.
The couple’s relationship was reportedly plagued by suspicions of infidelity, leading to a heated argument the night before the incident. Witnesses claimed that the wife’s outrage was sparked by her husband’s alleged side chick.
In a shocking turn of events, the wife called for help, and when neighbors rushed to the scene, they found the husband lying unconscious in a pool of blood.
Despite efforts to save him, the husband was pronounced dead at the hospital, leaving the community in shock and grief.
The police have taken the wife into custody for further investigation, while the spokesman, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, revealed that the wife had reported the incident at the police station, claiming that unknown individuals were responsible for her husband’s death.
As the investigation continues, sympathizers have come forward to reveal that the deceased had recently shown his love and appreciation for his wife by buying her a car, making the incident all the more tragic and perplexing.
