The Baale of Ikorodu, Lagos, who doubles as Chairman of the Landlords Association has recounted how late young Nigerian artiste, Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba tried burying him at midnight.
Recall that Mohbad died at the age of 27 on September 12th, 2023, and was buried a day later in Ikorodu. The sudden burial had raised eyebrows among many as they noted how the late singer wasn’t a Muslim.
Further arousing more suspicion, the Baale of Ikorodu in a video making rounds online, revealed how he stopped the clergyman from burying his son at midnight. According to him, Mohbad’s father wanted to bury him at midnight on the same day he died, before he stopped him.
Taking to social media, netizens called for the arrest of his father as they pointed accusing fingers a the clergyman.

Recall that in an interview, Mohbad’s father had explained the reason behind his son’s quick burial.
The singer’s pastor father mentioned how in Yoruba land, a young corpse cannot be kept for long. He added that assuming Mohbad died at an older age, he might have considered leaving his corpse in the mortuary for a longer period.
Mr Aloba also addressed the complaints about the location Mohbad was buried in, which was beside a cassava farm, stating that it was the only land he knew that belonged to the singer.
Mohbad’s father first lost the admiration of many when he defended Naira Marley for bullying his son.
His father stated that Naira Marley was only trying to correct him, but his son didn’t listen to him, as he described Naira Marley as a good person, who wanted what his best for his son and wanted to show Mohbad that he was superior.
The video left many questioning if he is the biological father of the late singer as they expressed disgust at his revelation.
