Breaking: Protesters storm Ogun, insist on #JusticeforMohbad

Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state stood still for the late popular Nigerian hip hop artist, Ilerioluwa Aloba also known as Mohbad as call for probe into circumstances surrounding his death continues to gather momentum.

Youths, in their thousands gathered at the skating ground, Panseke for a peaceful protest, before moving round major streets in the state capital demanding justice for the former Marian record signee who died last week Tuesday, aged 27.

Mohbad’s death had generated series of controversies from different strata of the society, with people raising their voices to request for a probe of his death.

The protesters were seen with placards bearing different inscriptions such as #JusticeForMohbad, #Who off Light among others.

Recall that the late singer’s wife identified as Wunmi, in a post, disclosed that MohBad lived in constant fear till he died.

“He struggled till death, too many pains, threatening, he has always lived with fear, continuous fights everywhere he goes too, he has never been happy for a whole day,” she stated.

MohBad was famous for his hit singles “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” with Rexxie, which was nominated three times for The Headies awards in 2022.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police has launched an investigation into the death of the singer, with the Lagos state government inviting the Department of State Security (DSS) to better widen the dragnet with inter-agency collaboration and best in class technology to unearth the truth.
