Scores of might have died many others trapped as Abuja high-rise building collapsed amidst heavy downpour on Wednesday night.
The high rise building is located at the busy Lagos Street in Garki, Abuja.
Eye witnesses at the scene recounted the gory scene and lamented the multi-purpose nature of the house for both businesses and for residence.
He said the building came down on the occupants during the heavy downpour which started around 11:pm on Wednesday.
”There was wailing all over the place after the building collapsed. Dozens of people are either dead or trapped as the building is fully occupied.
“It was a scene of helplessness with people screaming and running helter-skelter, while the heavy rain continued,” he said.
