FHA, Nuga Best partner to build 7000 Golden Jubilee houses in Mbora district

The Chairman of Nuga Best International and Regis Integrated Services Limited, Pastor Hilary Chukwuma, has disclosed that the FHA Golden Jubilee Estate would upon completion implode the housing challenges in the country.

Chukwuma, who spoke in Abuja, Thursday, at the groundbreaking ceremony of the initial 1200 housing units of the Estate in Abuja, said the project would cater to Nigerians irrespective of their classes or status, and added that the housing units would be constructed with an option of different types of houses.

The project, which is located at Mbora District along Tundun Wada, Lugbe Federal Housing Estate, Abuja, is being handled by Nuga Best International and Regis Services Limited in partnership with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).

He said: ” The development of this estate, which promises about 7000 housing units in all will implode the housing challenges Nigeria is facing. For Nigerians who are having housing challenges based on cost or availability, the good news is that this groundbreaking ceremony presents an immediate solution to the challenges.

“Many thanks to the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Housing Authority for conceiving this laudable project that caters for different classes of people, by presenting to the public an option for different types of houses”.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Turaki Hassan, said the estate, which sits on about 200 hectares of land, is designed with plans for schools, hospitals, shopping malls, and other facilities.

Hassan, who said the first phase of the project is expected for completion in 24 months, said one of its uniqueness is its location, and disclosed that it could be accessed from three axis.

He said: ” The FHA Golden Jubilee Estate sits on about 200 hectares of land, and is designed with plans for schools, hospitals, recreation centres, markets, shopping malls, filling stations, and police stations, among others, thereby encouraging a vibrant work-live-play community, integrated with commercial and social spaces.

“One of the uniqueness of this estate is its location. Sitting in the Mbora District of Abuja, the everyday worker and businessman will enjoy quick access to the city centre with the 1.6 km road connecting the Estate to the popular Jabi link road, via the Federal Medical Centre/Jabi route.

“The frequent traveler will also enjoy quick access to the airport, via the 3.2Km exit access to the Airport through the Lugbe axis. Indeed, the estate is within the Mbora district, making it a shorter distance of 1.6 kilometers to Jabi Road. We are however using the Airport Road corridor at the moment, while work takes off on the main Jabi/Mbora link road.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive of FHA, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, who performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Estate, reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to providing mortgages to Nigerians and assured that the FHA under him is ever-ready to provide housing solutions to Nigerians.

He said: “Our resolve remains unwavering, steadfastly committed to our core mandate of providing solutions for the citizens of Nigeria. The FHA Golden Jubilee Estate will contribute approximately 7000 distinct residential units to our national housing inventory upon completion.

“Today, we embark on the construction of the initial 1200 units, to be realized through a Public-Private-Partnership with the esteemed Nuga Best and Regis International. The estate will be served with standard infrastructure that characterizes FHA development.”
