Adewale Bashir Adeniyi, the newly appointed acting Comptroller-General of Customs, has been decorated by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Adeniyi was decorated a few days after Vice President Shettima had adorned Kayode Egbetokun, the acting inspector general of police, with his latest tirade at the Villa.
Adeniyi is to replace former Customs CG, Hammed Ali, who was relieved of his job alongside all service chiefs recently.
Mr Ali. a former military governor of Kaduna, was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari on August 27, 2015.
His tenure was perhaps more infamous for his refusal to wear the institution’s uniform, which Buhari failed to address for nearly eight years.
More to come…
