Honourable Tajudeen Abbas from Kaduna State has emerged as the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the 10th National Assembly.
The former deputy speaker Idris Wase, Sani Jaji, were defeated by Tajudeen Abbas.
Tuesday saw the election of Tajudeen Abbas as the 10th National Assembly’s Speaker of the House by the Reps.
Former majority leader of the House, put Abbas’ name forward for the role on Tuesday.
Sani Jaji and Ahmed Wase were Abbas’ opponents in the race.
Aliyu Betara and Yusuf Gagdi, two of the leading candidates for speaker position had withdrew their names in favour of Abbas, the All Progressives Congress (APC) prefered candidate.
